changes.

Hey guys!

Welcome back! So I wasn’t so sure about what I wanted to write about this week, but I thought maybe I will talk about the changes I made this week.  So this is just a side story: so on November 25, 2017, my two best friends Joe and Sarah Jane got engaged and I couldn’t be happier for them. With that news, I get to me maid of honor which I am over the moon about. You could not wipe the smile off my face anytime we talk about planning and my duties as MOH. Anyways, that means we all want to look amazing for the wedding. So on Sunday, I spent 3 hours cooking and preparing food for the week. This is my first-time meal prepping and I must say it has been so nice not having to worry about what I am going to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I also signed up for a dietbet. If you don’t know what it is it’s basically like a group of people who pay a certain amount of money (around $30) to lose 4% of your body weight in a month and everyone one who completes it splits the pot. I also started to work out every day. I haven’t really worked out in a while so I am starting with 20-30 minutes and eventually will add to that. I also drink lots of water. And like I told my friends I have a love/hate relationship with drinking tons of water. I hate having to pee 100x a day.

The first week of change is always the hardest. You have to get used to the new portions, making better choices, and your body gets used to working out. Overall I am feeling good, for the first time ever I wake up early and work out, take a shower, enjoy my breakfast and go on throughout my day. I am excited about the new changes in my life. I am already down three pounds in three days which makes me pretty happy. I am trying to stay under 1500 calories a day.  So I thought I would tell you what I have been eating this week.

Breakfast: I usually make overnight oatmeal. Which are old fashion oats, milk, and chia seeds in a mason jar overnight and I add a banana in the morning.  350 calories

Lunch: I have a green salad with veggies, hard-boiled, and a small sprinkle of cheese.  300 calories

Dinner: I have a piece of chicken with either rice or potatoes and then roasted peppers and carrots. 390 calories

Snacks: I usually just pick between these options: applesauce, yogurt, popcorn, corn chips and salsa. Some days I will have two other days more or less.
