Where is my life heading?

So I currently have no job, no classes, and I have no idea where my life is heading. So at the end of the school year, I gave my boss my notice that I was not going to be back in the fall because I needed to find a job that was going to pay me more and I would be able to get benefits with. I will be twenty-six in February which means I will no longer be under my dad’s. So I have been looking all summer and I haven’t found anything yet. And on top of that, I never received my bill for my classes for the fall semester and I never received an email letting me know when tuition was due, so I figured I had more time. Well I was wrong and I lost all my classes and they are already full. So at this moment in time, I feel like my life is falling apart. I don’t think I am doing anything productive with my life.  The only income I have is the couple times I babysit, which is not enough money to pay the bills and fill up my gas tank.

If you asked me when I graduated high school where I would be when I was 25 I would have guessed I would be a college graduate, working, and not living with my parents. But right now I feel like my life is going nowhere and I have no idea what I am doing. So do I focus on school or do I find a job?  I just hate the way my life is going. I don’t feel successful and I have nothing to look forward to in my life.  I have applied for two jobs and didn’t get interviews and I have another application sitting on my desk that I need to send today.  When I look on my Facebook or Instagram people my age is working, done with college, married, and then there is me who has nothing right now. And I know I have a bed to sleep in and food to eat, but this is not the way I wanted my life to go. I am sitting here with tears running down my face not sure what is going to happen next. I try to think positive and know that sometimes life doesn’t go the way you hoped, but sometimes I just have these break downs where I don’t know what to do.

The next day.

I have been looking for jobs and I think I have two classes versus the five I was going to take. It’s something. I hate having those break downs like I had yesterday writing the first part of this post. Some days are better than others when it comes to being positive about where my life is going. All I can do continue to try and move forward with my life.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to post this blog because I was writing what I was actually feeling on Monday. These were the actual thoughts that were going through my mind and I am not a very open person with my feelings, but I am trying and this post is one that I am glad I am going to post. Today I am feeling a lot better; it’s just rough having those days.

A to Z |road trip tips

Hey, Guys!

So going on a road trip is one of my favorite ways to go on a trip. Sometimes they are filled with problems and stress, but there are ways to try to make the most of the trip. I have taken about 6 road trips since I turned 18, and I have learned many things during my experiences. I have come up with my A to Z road trips tips.

  • AAA is a great service to have (they saved us on one road trip)
  • Backpack, filled with snacks, water, books, and whatever else you want when you’re not driving
  • Car, make sure your car is ready for a road trip. Oil change, tire pressure, and an over all look through
  • Don’t over pack. Only pack the stuff you need. No one likes a stuffed car
  • E-ZPass is great and you don’t have to mess with change for the tolls
  • Friends are the best road trip companions
  • Gas, pay attention to your gas tank and how many miles between rest stops
  • Have fun
  • Ice in a small cooler or lunch bag will keep you from drinking warm drinks
  • Junk food is good, but keep some healthy snacks that are not going to drain your energy
  • Keys, bring an extra set of car keys and give them to another person
  • Loud music is fun, but make sure you are paying attention to the road and to things around you
  • Music, make cd’s  so you can listen to music when you in a zone where there is no signal
  • Negative is not needed in the car, keep it happy and fun
  • Opened mind, things could go wrong so keep an open mind
  • Plan, even if it’s just a rough plan
  • Quiet, make sure you are not really loud when someone is sleeping; they may need to rest so they can drive later
  • Relax; make sure you give yourself some time to relax when arriving to your destination
  • Snacks, this will save you money from expensive rest stops
  • Take lots of pictures to remember the trip
  • U will need a physical map, there will be times your phone or gps will have no signal
  • Vacuum and clean out your car before you go, this will just make the car more enjoyable
  • Walk, don’t forget to get out and stretch your legs
  • Xit (exit lol) make sure you are paying attention to the exits you need to take if you miss one sometimes it’s hard to get back on route
  • Yawn, if you’re tired change drivers or stop to take a nap
  • Zzz’s make sure get a good night’s rest before you leave for your trip

I hope you enjoyed my road trip tips. These are just based on my opinion. I also want to add that AAA and E-Zpass may not be available around the world. (AAA is a road side service and E-Zpass is basically a little device that you add money online, and it’s in your car and when you go through tolls it just takes the money instead of having to pay the toll each time).

Here are just a few pictures from recent road trips.

Rough First Week of School

Hey, Guys!

So I made it through the first week of the semester! It wasn’t easy, and I am already feeling a little over whelmed hence the break from studying to write a blog post.  So this semester is a pretty crazy one because I am going to two different schools. I am taking a math class at my community college because it was cheaper and closer. I am also taking 4 classes at Kean. I am taking: music survey, psychology: life span, college algebra, biology: anatomy & physiology, and Zumba from my p.e class.

While I only go to school three days a week it’s been rough trying to get back in the groove of things and remembering where I have to be and at what time. I had one mix up where I was heading to the wrong school, but I caught myself before I got too far out of the way. I have taken some time off from school, but this semester is the first time I am feeling really motivated to finish. I have a couple more credits to take and to pass the praxis test and then it will become graduation day. I have hit a lot of struggles in school since I left high school, and it has taken me a lot longer to graduate, but I am finally in the home stretch. I could not be more excited to actually have a college degree and begin working on my masters.

On top of the first week of school and I also had a pretty bad weekend. I was babysitting Gavin and Grayson which was not good, on top of trying to find money to pay for the semester tuition and books. It was a very emotion weekend; I cried a lot of tears in the playroom at their house. I was stressed with school, finding a job, the boys not behaving, and just other personal things going on in my life. It was just a full breakdown and I have to say after that I am feeling better about my life. I still struggle with school and still no job, but I feel like my life is finally going to be moving forward.

That’s all for this post. I am hoping to post more once I get more into the groove of things.

Planner |$50 or $8

So over the past couple of months, I have been very into using a planner and all the cute accessories. I looked into an Erin Condren planner, but I could get myself to spend $50 on a planner. So I went into Target and found this cute one.

This one is a Dabney Lee for BlueSky Weekly/Monthly Planner. This planner cost me $8 and it does everything a $50 planner would. I picked this floral pattern with gold spirals. I like the cover because it is open on the top and you can slide pictures or notes inside.

This planner had a monthly view as well as a weekly view. I use the monthly for holidays and birthday and the weekly view for my work schedule, errands I have to run, bills I have to pay, and other events.

Every week is different when I write things in my planner. Some weeks I go all out and use stickers and write everything. And other weeks I’m so busy and don’t have time to add stickers that I just write the important things down. Either way, I having my planner with me and I like that I can have more creative control compared to just writing it down in my phone calendar.

This planner has a note section, which I use a lot when need to write down my shopping lists. It also has a holiday page which gives you the date of the holidays for the next two years and a map of the United States with the time zones.

I have two accessories that I love using when using my planner. The first are my Happy Planner stickers which you can find at Michaels and Hobby Lobby. They have so many different sticker books; these two are one for fitness and the other for everyday things. The second are my favorite pens. These are the Sharpie Pens and I love them. They write amazing and they do not bleed through the pages.

I love using my planner and being organized with my life. It helps me with birthdays, events, and mostly my work schedule which gets a little crazy especially the babysitting part. Please let me know what planner you use and if you have any fun accessories.

Travel Bucket List

Hey, Guys!

I have never been a person that likes to stay at home all the time. We all have those days where we do not want to go to work or school or even get out of bed. I may have one of those days once a month, but I love seeing and exploring new things. Traveling is one of my favorite hobbies to do. It really all started probably when I was nineteen years old. Carly and I decided to travel to California on our own. That was really my first trip without parents or not with the school. It was scary, thrilling, and so much fun and I am so glad that I got to experience that trip. This trip really opened my eyes on how I want to see many more places in and out of the United States. I live on the east coast of the United States and I have seen many states around including New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Delaware, West Virginia, Virginia, Connecticut, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama, Florida, and of course California. My dream is to visit all of the amazing places on my travel bucket list. I first have to say I have been to Iceland twice, but both times I was under the age of 2 which I really have no memory of those trips. This year Sarah Jane and I are finally traveling outside of the United States. I am so excited to be able to travel and see new places, try new foods, and meet new people. So I am going to share my current travel bucket list, I may add new places as the years go by. I am really excited to check things off this list.

Travel Bucket List

  • Portland, Oregon
  • Seattle, Washington
  • Iceland (this year)
  • Ireland (this year)
  • London (this year)
  • Paris
  • Greece
  • Australia
  • Hawaii
  • San Francisco
  • Bora Bora

Please share with me places you want to go and cool places you have seen.

Beauty and The Beast Movie Review | SPOILERS!

Hey, Guys!

Before you go any further, this post does have spoilers about the movie.

Seriously you have been warned!

So this weekend I went to the movies to see the new Beauty and The Beast movie and I thought I would write a little review. I loved it! I loved every minute of the movie. I was so excited to see the movie because I liked the original and I also loved when they redid Cinderella.

We bought our tickets about three weeks before the movie came out because we knew it was going to be a big hit.  The music, actors, and everything else was just perfect. When the trailer came out I was kind of freaked out by the way the beast looked, but I must say as the movie went on I actually loved him. Emma Watson did an amazing job as Belle and Dan Stevens did a great job as the Beast.  I came home singing the songs and I also purchased the soundtrack and have been listening to all the songs. My favorite song at the moment is Evermore that is sung by the beast.

I literally cannot stop talking about it, and I am dying to see it again. I also am on the hunt for the original, because it has been years since I have seen it.

I had two favorite parts in the movie. The first scene I was so excited to see was the “Be Our Guest” because I remember that it was amazing in the original. I must say I was very impressed I thought it was amazing and it was fun, colorful, and the singing was great. The second one was the one that Belle and the Beast travel in Paris where Belle was born and they learn how her mom died. I thought the song was great and it was interesting to learn about her mom.

These are the difference I notice between the original from 1991 and the new one.

  1. We learn the back story of the Beast, his father is the reason he was the way he was.
  2. We also learn about Belle’s mother, and we learn how she died.
  3. Beast and Belle took a trip to Paris to the spot where Belle’s mom died.
  4. The castle crumbles every time a petal falls from the rose.
  5. Chip does not have any siblings.
  6. The Beast gets his own song. (and it’s amazing)
  7. Finally, they added four new songs “Evermore,” “Days in the Sun,” “How does a Moment Last Forever,” and “Aria.”

There may be more that I did not realize. I would totally recommend going to see this movie. If you have seen it already let me know how you felt about it.

Dear Starbucks Very Berry Refresher,

Dear Starbucks Very Berry Refresher,

Thank you for bringing joy into my life. When I first tasted you I did not know what to expect, but you were so delicious. You are now the one and only thing I order from Starbucks. I love the sweetness of the tea mixed with the blackberries. You are something I drink in the middle of winter and on the hottest day of the year. You are refreshing and I do not feel guilty for drinking you. I like you sibling strawberry acai refresher, but not as much as I love you. You are worth the 15-minute drink and the 10-minute wait in the drive thru line. I plan my day and where I have to shop to where the closest Starbucks is. You cost much more then I would like to spend on a drink, but Starbucks still gets my money. I have also changed the size I get to the trenta, because I cannot get enough of you. Thank you for being so yummy and for making me a Starbucks addict.

P.S. When I leave work I am coming to get you!

Life Update 2017

Hey Guys!

I know it’s been a while since I posted a blog post, and I am hoping I am going to get back to posting more regularly. First, I should say HAPPY NEW YEARS! It’s finally 2017 and this year is going to be filled with some amazing adventures. I am not sure when I will share what one of the big plans is, but I will definitely will when I am ready. I am also going on one of the biggest trips every in November with Sarah Jane.

I just turn 25 years old. (I still can’t believe it) For the first time in 25 years, I was actually upset about my birthday. I have always been excited about my birthday, but twenty-five it was a little bit scary for me. I am finally able to rent a car, and people keep telling me that year 25 has been their favorite. So my goal is to make this year amazing and I have a feeling that is it going to be great. I started 2017 with making a huge decision which led to one more. I am actually taking a semester off from school to complete what I am going to be doing. Which was a pretty big decision, but I’m excited and nervous.  I will share very soon.

I also thought I would share some of my goals for the year 2017!

  1. Be Happier
  2. Be Healthier
  3. Learn to love myself
  4. Travel
  5. Take lots of pictures
  6. Pass the Praxis
  7. Declare my major
  8. Save money
  9. Give myself some time to relax

Well, that’s all for now. I have been working like always and crafting. I am looking forward for 2017 and for the things that are going to happen.

Have a great week!

Dear Best Friend,

Dear Best Friend,

I think every day how I am so lucky to be best friends with you. Before we met, I always thought the friends I had were going to be the ones I have for the rest of my life. I thought they were going to be the friends that came to my college graduation, were in my wedding party, and would become aunts to my children; that quickly changed when we met.  I never thought that we would become best friends, let alone friends. When our mutual friend introduced us, I personally thought we were just going to be the people that were just friendly with each other. Quickly something changed, that one friend dropped us like last year’s fade. As the years went by during high school we became closer and closer.

Our friendship is one of the greatest things I have in my life. You are the person I text when I need to vent, when I find something crafty for us to do, and for when I find some funny picture online. You always have you shoulder open for when I just need to cry, and are always there for me when I need to escape my crazy family. We have so many of the same interest from crafting, trying new things, baking, taking pictures, watching Gilmore girls, or even just relaxing on the couch. You are always up for anything and I love that. You bring out the best in me, and you push me to be a better person. You do everything you possible to help my in school. You give me advice when I need it. You always know what to say. You are so important to be and I can’t even imagine my life without you as my best friend. We have our ups and downs during the past 10 years of being friends and I wouldn’t want to change it another way.

Presidential Election Rant

First, I am not going to tell you who I am planning on voting for in this post. I am just going to rant about what’s how I feel about this subject. I dislike both candidates and I am not a fan of politics. I am not saying I do not care who wins the election, it’s more of I don’t like how people act around it.  I respect everyone’s opinion and I would never tell someone not to vote for someone or tell someone who they should vote for. You are going to vote for whom you have the same believes with and for whom you think will do the country right. There are going to be people who love Hillary and there are going to people who love Trump. There are going to be people who hate Hillary and there are going to be people who hate Trump. That is not uncommon with elections. You can tell me all these things about the other candid, but you’re not going to change my mind. My mind is set on whom I am voting for. If I tell you whom I am going to vote for you should be just accept my answer, even if you don’t agree.  I don’t need to hear your bashing about him or her. All the things posted online are all about Trump and Hillary, and it’s never something good for either parties. I want to see post of why I should vote for them, not what he or she did or bashing them when something new gets leaked to the media.

This is my second presidential election that I will be able to vote in. I personally am so tired of hearing things about these two people. I have gotten to the point where I cannot listen to the radio, read some tweets, or scroll down Facebook without people attacking each online about this election. I have left some groups on Facebook and I have even blocked certain people because I do not like how this election is making act. It is not necessary to talk nasty, curse, or attack people online just because they are not voting for the same people you are. We live in America which gives us the right to vote for whomever we want to. We may not like one candid, but others do. We need to learn to respect people’s decision.

This will most likely be my one and only post of the election. You now know how I feel. I am ready for this election to be over. I also think we will have some problems with either one them.
